The PLANTARIUM Exhibition in the Dutch town of Boskoop is one of the most important horticultural events where novelty plants and technologies used in nursery cultivation are presented. This year 322 companies from 15 countries (Holland, Germany, Belgium, Denmark and Poland amongst others) presented their offer.
During the exhibition the results of The Novelty contest were announced. The jury formed by members of Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society (Koninklijke Vereniging voor Boskoopse Culturen), awarded 2 Gold Medals, 14 Silver and 27 Brown. Sz. Marczyński, W. Piotrowski Clematis Container Nursery submitted five plants – selected by Szczepan Marczyński Parthenocissus quinquefolia REDWALL® 'Troki' and Parthenocissus quinquefolia 'Yellow Wall' PBR as well as those raised by him Clematis 'Beautiful Bride' PBR, Clematis 'Krakowiak' PBR i Clematis 'Sweet Summer Love' PBR. Three of them were honoured with medals: the gold was awarded to Clematis 'Beautiful Bride' PBR, silver went to Clematis 'Krakowiak' PBR, and brown to Clematis 'Sweet Summer Love' PBR.
Clematis 'Beautiful Bride' PBR gained recognition from 22 journalists accredited to the fairs from a number of countries who declared this variety runner up in the Press Prize contest in the Garden, balcony and terrace plants category.
