A vigorous climber with semi-evergreen leaves consisting of 5 leathery light green leaflets. Both male and female flowers are pure white, fragrant. A good pollinator for other varieties. Blooms appear from April to May and are followed by very interesting, sausage-shaped fruits with edible flesh. Stems twine round supports. Suitable for growing on fences and other supports. It can be left to climb up trees. Particularly useful for growing on an arbour, a pergola or a gate.
