A vigorous climber. Semi-evergreen leaves are composed of 5 leathery, deep green leaflets mottled with white. Pale pink, fragrant flowers open in May. A good pollinator for other cultivars of the species. It has very interesting, sausage-shaped fruit with edible flesh. The stems twine round the supports.
